WELCOME TO CONFIRMATION PREPARATION!

The Celebration of Confirmation for Immaculate Conception Church students will be

***

July 17, 2024

Welcome to Immaculate Conceptions 2024/2025 Confirmation Preparation Class. Confirmation will be offered in 8th grade but is open to all parish members in 8th grade through 11th grade. Confirmation candidates participate in confirmation sessions prior to their reception of the sacrament.

The Cleveland Diocese requires that children have 2 years of religious education preparation to receive the sacrament  of Confirmation. Therefore, children need to attend 7th and 8th grade PSR(Edge) on Wednesdays to make Confirmation in the 8th grade.

We are very excited to be using the Chosen: "Your Journey Toward Confirmation" Program. The goal of the program is to offer your child a powerful, life changing experience as he or she prepares to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

It is our hope that the  Chosen Program will offer your child a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Faith. The program has been carefully designed to address and answer candidates’ fundamental questions about life, and to challenge him or her to embrace a life of faith.

There will be a parent meeting on Sunday, September 8th at 10:00 am in the Parish Center.  One or both parents must attend.

Confirmation preparation  classes begin September 8th. Classes will meet on  Sunday mornings in the Parish Center once a month from 10:00 am-11:15 am then going to Mass at 11:30am as a class.

The celebration of Confirmation for Immaculate Conception Church students and St. Cyprians students will be on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church in Madison, Ohio.

Please Note:  The PSR/Confirmation program will be communicating by two way texting.  This will keep you informed of the schedule, cancellations, changes and communications.

"Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent them Peter and John, who went down and prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit, for it had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit." Acts 8:14-17
